Bonneville Windows and Doors is recognized!
Bonneville Windows and Doors is proud to have been chosen as a finalist in the Large Scale Organization category at the CSST (La Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail) Innovation Prize ceremony.
This award ceremony was held to acknowledge initiatives (innovative prevention methods, equipment adaptation or safe working methods) that both employers and employees have developed to prevent industrial accidents and make their environment a safer place to work.
Bonneville Windows and Doors was awarded this prize for its soundproof saw housings. « To alleviate eventual occupational deafness trouble that could affect workers using the saws, shop employees manufactured housings using acoustic panels installed on the saws to mute the noise. We observed a decrease in noise levels from 117 decibels to less than 90 decibels », explained Jean-Francois Doyon, Bonneville Windows and Doors Executive Vice-President.
This is the second time that Bonneville Windows and Doors has distinguished itself at the CSST Innovation Prize ceremony. Bonneville was the 2005 prizewinner in the Large Scale Organization category for its fixed sash insertion machine, developed to reduce the significant physical effort required by employees that could cause shoulder, arm or leg injuries.
